Disappointing news – The mast spreaders arrived and I managed to fit them ok. But then I discovered that the diamond wires are different lengths! So I made a call to my buddy Matt at Vectorworks. He’s as puzzled as I am about how they could be different but he’s going to send me another set.

A new (over 35) personal best for 4.25 miles: 39:12. That’s 52 seconds better than my previous record. Woohoo!

Unfortunately I have to go to Phoenix Tuesday-Thursday, so it’s going to be a few days before I can get it all put together. With luck, Dave and I will be on the water by the weekend.
It was a relief to finally get home from India and the UK on Saturday night. I think the trip was one of the most challenging I’ve done to date. The utter chaos on the roads and the pervasive feeling of decay evident in the built environment were my strongest impressions.
