Continued working on the boat this morning and actually skipped church in the hope that I might have been able to get to the water today.
Fat chance! Dave came over and gave me a hand, particularly on the trailer which needed a little adjustment. Got everything rigged on the boat I think, but still a few questions about things that I need to get figured out before I go sailing. We found some problems getting the boat to fit on the trailer because of the design of the rear rollers. We may have to load the boat backwards, or alternatively get a set of rear cradles from Matt.
I was far too tired to run this morning, but managed to get out tonight. Left sometime after 6:30 and it was dark by the time I got back. Felt pretty good a lot of the way, particularly between 2.5 and 3.5 miles. Wasn’t too surprised to see the final time: 56:03.65. Yeehaa! More than 1:20 better than my previous best, and over 6 minutes better than when I first ran 6 miles. Well, I’m impressed!
